We are so excited to share our plans and timing for the PetPromise Pet Connection: A revolutionary concept for sheltering and caring for rescued homeless pets in Columbus, Ohio.
The PetPromise Pet Connection will be a first of its kind cageless home-like sanctuary for dogs and cats where people from the community can come in, enjoy coffee, tea, or sodas, unwind, socialize, and relax while in the company of rescued cats and dogs. Our goal is to create a home-like environment where homeless pets can live comfortably, meet friends and future adopters, and genuinely enjoy their lives while they wait to be adopted.
But we really need you to be part of our team and to help us make the PetPromise Pet Connection a reality in 2025.
Found a Cat?
If you find a cat outside or a cat has started to hang out near your home of workplace, it may need help.
The cat may be:

an indoor/outdoor pet who lives nearby and is allowed to roam outside.

a lost cat whose owners are looking for him/her.
-
a cat that has been abandoned by his/her owners.
-
a community cat that no one owns but people in the neighborhood know and feed/shelter.
Previously, the standard advice to a person who found a stray/homeless cat was to take the cat to a local animal shelter. But recent studies have shown that this is really not the best thing to do for the cat if you find one that needs help. In fact, research indicates that cats have much better chances of being reunited with their owner if they don’t enter the sheltering system.
